Bitmain, the largest and popular Bitcoin miner company from Beijing, China, has released an Ethereum mining pool that supports both, Ethereum and Ethereum Classic.
The globally recognized and largest Bitcoin miner company Bitmain, with headquarters in Beijing, China, is becoming even more popular and important by adding an Ethereum mining pool, as has been communicated on Thursday, August 30.
Bitmain mining pool is expanding
The Bitmain mining pool, BTC.com, which already operates with Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is ready and exciting about launching an Ethereum mining pool, which will support Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum Classic (ETC).
The good news about the new Ethereum mining pool was announced on Thursday by BTC.com, who mined the 21 percent of newly Bitcoin blocks during the last year, and which so far represents the 16 percent of the Bitcoin hashrate.
All users are able to choose and switch between the two different cryptocurrencies based on Ethash, an option that definitely enhances the profitability.
GPU and CPU mining options included
The fact of adding GPU and CPU mining options comes as a result and dealing choice about the depressed prices that the crypto market has faced during this year; both mining options are also included in Antpool, another mining pool of the giant Bitmain.
Zhuang Zhong, the Project Director at Bitmain, has said that:
“GPU miners are versatile, still profitable and are not easily replaced in a bear market. It’s common for miners to split investment into both. There are already ASIC miners for Ethereum and Ethereum classic which are easier to set up and are dedicated to ethash mining. This will save us from supporting a huge list of GPU coins simultaneously.”
The first ASIC compatible with the Ethash mining algorithm was launched by Bitmain, company that also has shared the idea of launching mining pools in different and popular cryptocurrencies like Litecoin, Monero, and Zcash, which hopefully could be concreted in the future.
