Several major mining firms around the world are selling their mining hardware and a few others are shutting down their operations. This has not stopped Sapphire Technology, one of the largest suppliers of AMD-based video cards in the world, from entering the crypto mining industry. The chip manufacturer recently made it known that it will be launching a new line of mining rigs— INCA CS-14 Block-Chain Compute System.
Sapphire Technology Miner’s Features
According to the announcement, the new mining rig is expected to feature a hash power of about 410 MH/s, 14 RX 470 GPUs, and a power consumption rate of about 1,950 watts. The hardware also comes preloaded with a Linux based operating system and mining software. According to the announcing report, these numbers may have a difference of -/+5 percent of the stated value.
Sapphire Technology which has been in the business of making chips for about 15 years made it known that the development of this new miner, showcases what it has learnt about how manufacturing state-of-the-art graphics cards over these period work.
According to experts who have reviewed the miners, it was reported that this particular miner is designed mainly for use by professional miners. The miner is said to have features which fit that of a data-centre. According to the report, the Miner is compatible with standard racks which are common with most vendors. The miner’s airflow is optimized for large configurations, simply because all the cables are installed unidirectionally. The miner also allows for adequate power management and monitoring down to the individual mining rig outlet.
